Chaet (Bernard) is born in Boston.

Bernard Chaet grows up in Dorchester, studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University, and soon becomes a member of the Boston Expressionists school of painters. He goes on to teach at Yale University (1951-90). Chaet dies on October 16, 2012.
